Greetings! My name is Ann. Since these are my personal insights, they are “Annsights.” My hope is that my insights will ring true for someone else, making a positive difference in some small way in another’s life.
I haven’t always been so positive. I made a proactive decision to be so, realizing being positive is so much more enjoyable and less stressful than any of the alternatives.
With a personal goal of “Pursuing Lifelong Fitness” having gone from a size 14 to sizes 8, 6, 5 or 2, and back up to 8 (depending on my motivation), my most current Annsights range from observations of life in general, to Attitude, Fitness, Nutrition, and Gift Ideas.
“Annsights’ Blog” originated while I was “Intrigued,” a power user and self-proclaimed “loving daughter” on the now defunct health-oriented social network “Trusera.” As a caregiver for my elderly mother, I began writing on Trusera in 2008 about Eldercare, Caregiving, Strokes and Music Therapy, then as her health went south, about … Dying and Mourning. I may continue to write about these experiences, from time to time.
The Trusera social networking community made a significant difference in my working my way through the caregiver challenges and then the mourning process. Trusera went offline in May of 2009, and in November 2009 I transferred many of my posts here (one at a time, since WordPress folks discovered my saved Trusera document was glitched). Sadly, the rich dialog between my Trusera neighbors could not be captured here as well.
My personal philosophies:
- Laugh daily, out loud, frequently.
- Truly live and enjoy life.
- Live with as few regrets as possible.
- There are few dead ends … just many detours: Build a bridge and get over them.
- How we react is our personal choice.
- We may not be able to control what happens, but we can control how we react.
- Be open to new experiences, adventures and change.
- Learning is energizing.
- Don’t just talk: do.
- Life is good.
- Attitudes are contagious. Positive energy begets positive energy.
I also believe in the importance of listening, learning … and incorporating daily learnings to drive continual improvement. So please, feel free to leave your comments. I am listening — and learning.
Sincere thanks for listening.
Wishing you joy in life,
Ann
So … be sure to tell me what you think. (Even though the WordPress comment form asks for an email address, it is optional.) Thanks! Ann
